Spring mornings in Chicago, you never know what you're going to get. This morning there was a slick layer of frost on the ground and a nip in the air. However, the sunrise was glorious, and glowed perfectly on this Redbud tree in Lincoln Park. Clouds were moving low and slow over the city, in this moment creating a halo over the John Hancock Center. The slight pinkish color was a side-effect of the neutral density filter I used to allow for such a long exposure.
